Well, you can still find quality leather bags these days. But they certainly aren't cheap, that's for sure.

The leather back in the day was kinda rigid compared to how it is now. Just the other day, i heard someone describe a Balanciaga purse as having a "delicate leather", whatever that means. I have 5 Rebecca Minkoff MAM's, and the leather on those is sooo smooth, soft and squishy. I don't like rigid leather purses, but if i do come across one, i will try my best to break it in. I bought my latest Rebecca Minkoff MAM in mid december, and i've tucked it in my sweat pants and slept with it all night many times since. It sure feels that the leather is getting softer! I put a beach ball inside it, and inflate it, to make it full, and the leather is so soft it's ridiculous! I've seen many MAM's before, but this one caught my eye, as the black leather really stuck out, and i was sending the seller the ebay payment in a heartbeat!! I also prefer smooth leather bags compared to pebbled leather, which is popular.
