I love seeing tall women (those legs!!) wear tall heels in public, and as she gets more used to it as long as you always compliment her on it she will be more willing and happier to do it. I am not particularly a big fan of wedges but I would suggest tall heels with a platform so that it will be more comfortable, so there will be less "training". As others have said go slow and let things progress naturally. Only introduce one thing at a time and let her get used to it before adding another.
